The Seed Round:
from portfolio to prototype.

AuraSonics holds a layered patent portfolio over a category-defining architecture in cardiac sensing: a high-density, dual-energy, AI-readable thoracic signal platform. We are raising a seed round to convert it — five filings, three families — into granted utility patents and a first working prototype — and the first dollar doesn't disappear into burn. It goes straight to one of the world's top life-sciences law firms.

We are defining a new category — Wearable Cardiac Tomography. This is the entry point: the moment before the category is priced in, when early conviction is rewarded with the simplest terms it will ever have.

The Ask
Why Now

The category is being funded.
We hold the strongest hand in it.

Cardiovascular disease is the world's leading cause of death — yet definitive diagnosis is still episodic, expensive, and triggered only after symptoms. Capital is flowing into AI-enabled, non-invasive sensing — and the best-funded names are chasing a far narrower signal than ours.

And this moat compounds. A single-point device can record a million patients and never hold what a coordinate-aligned field captures in one session. The competitor who starts five years late starts five years of irreplaceable data behind — a lead that capital alone cannot buy back.

~20M

Lives lost each year

The world's leading cause of death — an estimated 19.8 million in 2022 — still found too late.

$150M+

Raised by a single rival

Eko raised $150M+ to connect one acoustic sensor to AI. The field is funded, the incumbents narrow — and a sensor that rides the chest cannot feel motion.

2025–26

A favorable window

Medtech venture funding rebounded through 2025 and AI-enabled healthtech is in strong demand — an ideal backdrop for a seed.

The Prize

A market measured in tens of billions
— and a category no one else is building.

Independent analysts size the market in the low-to-mid tens of billions — and care is shifting from episodic testing toward exactly what AuraSonics builds.

$11–16B

Cardiovascular diagnostics, today

Multiple analyst groups value the market in the low-to-mid tens of billions, growing high-single-digit annually.

$25B+

Within a decade

Past $25B by the mid-2030s — pulled by AI, wearables, and remote monitoring, the exact tailwinds we ride.

Field of one

Direct analogues

No competitor captures both energies across a 3,000-point, coordinate-aligned field. The category is, so far, our own.

Market figures are third-party analyst estimates, cited as a range and rounded; they describe the opportunity, not a projection of AuraSonics revenue.

The De-Risked Mechanism

Your capital doesn't evaporate.
It deepens the moat.

Most pre-seed money funds runway and hope. Ours funds a specific, verifiable asset: an interlocking patent estate — five filings across three families — protecting the fourteen capabilities that define the platform. An angel's contribution can be ring-fenced and paid directly to Wilson Sonsini to convert the four provisionals into utility applications — the single step that most increases this company's value.

Build the Prototype

$1.0–1.5M

The full round to carry AuraSonics from protected IP to a working belt and first human feasibility data — on the path toward an FDA regulatory strategy.

  • Utility IP + prototype + sensor fabrication
  • First feasibility recordings & dataset
  • Clinical, regulatory & pilot groundwork
Use of Funds

Every dollar mapped to an asset.

IP first — because the patent conversion is the highest-leverage, lowest-risk value creation available to this company today.

12–18 Month Milestones

From protected idea
to provable execution.

Months 1–4 · IP de-risking

Utility patents filed

Provisional → utility conversion completed by Wilson Sonsini — the company's core IP risk retired.

Months 4–8 · technical de-risking

Bench-validated prototype

First working belt built to existing specifications, with bench signal validation — the physics demonstrated before any clinical claim.

Months 8–12 · clinical de-risking

First human feasibility

Initial feasibility recordings and a physician-facing dashboard mockup.

Months 12–18 · regulatory de-risking

Clinical & regulatory

Regulatory pathway memo, pilot-site letters of intent, and an initial dataset for model development.

The Team

A focused founder.
A bench being built.

We believe in showing the team honestly. The technical foundation is in place; this round funds the credibility and the advisors that come next.

Straight Answers

The questions a serious
investor asks first.

No spin. The honest version of every answer — because the diligence will find it anyway.

What am I actually funding?

The conversion of the provisional portfolio into utility patent applications, the first working sensing belt, and initial bench validation. The entry tranche can be ring-fenced and paid directly to Wilson Sonsini — your dollar becomes a defensible asset, not runway.

How is this different from Eko?

The "smart stethoscope" field digitizes a single acoustic point. AuraSonics captures two physically different energies across 3,000 coordinate-aligned points — and a sensor that rides the chest cannot feel motion. A different sense, not a better microphone.

Is the technology proven yet?

No — and we say so plainly. AuraSonics is development-stage; figures such as >70 dB SNR and 1–3 mm localization are engineering and modeled targets, not clinical results. This round funds the first steps toward validating them. Honest framing today is what survives diligence tomorrow.

What actually protects the company?

An interlocking estate — sensing hardware, signal pipeline, data-fusion engine — five filings across three families, covering the platform's fourteen defensible capabilities. One utility application is already filed; four provisionals now enter conversion. Plus a compounding data moat: a coordinate-aligned field cannot be reconstructed by a rival who starts late.

What do the terms look like?

Intentionally simple — SAFE or priced. Begin with the ring-fenced patent tranche, or back the full $1.0–1.5M seed; speak with our counsel before committing a dollar.

Why is now the moment?

Capital is flowing into AI-enabled, non-invasive cardiac sensing; the market is scaling past $25B; and the category is still unpriced. This is the entry point — when early conviction is rewarded with the simplest terms it will ever have.
